An objective tree was created to list all the objectives of the wind turbine and turbine blade. Here, we determine our primary and secondary objective as well as a decision matrix
In this part of the project, the team created a material performance index for each objective to determine how well the object was met by various materials
Here, we perform design embodiment;Â we created a CAD model of the turbine blade. We also experimented with a deflection simulation which helps us determine how much the blade would deflect under pressure
The last milestone was to finalize the design of the blade, including determining the thickness of the blade that would yield the ideal deflection of 10mm
